How to Simplify Touchscreen Interface Design

It’s a business maxim that you can easily agree with, but taking it to heart is another matter altogether. Consider the control system for instance.

The control interface is the customer experience. Instead of multiple programs and interfaces with a complicated series of login requirements, you can offer clients one platform using a single login and no software to install or manage.

Intrusion and access protection are standard features in most control panels on the market today. So, there is no reason to double up with configuring a separate control platform panel. It will add needlessly to your punch list and will add aggravation rather than enhanced security to your client.

Clients don’t really understand the ins and outs of what you do, and if they’re honest, most of them don’t want to get into the weeds on the AV infrastructure with you. So, when you offer simple when they are bracing themselves for complex, that can be a huge selling point. Keeping it simple can be a huge differentiator in reaching clients who are craving simple.

We have all come to accept a certain level of platform fatigue, so offering simplified solutions in this context is like offering a drink of clear, cool water in the desert. When you tell a potential customer, you’ll be able to manage all functions from a single control system interface design, that is music to their ears. Video conferencing, mobile credentialing, intrusion, environment monitoring, access control – all of it. Control systems should give customers peace of mind, not add to their stress.

Simple Promotes Managed Service

Solutions that work will inspire confidence and a sense that you are the right integrator to assist the client in an ongoing way. You will be their go-to in managed service provision.

A single control system interface design will scale more simply as well.

Depending on client needs, you can add or remove components as needed, and manage scale more easily. Integrating multiple services from one control system design encourages managed service opportunities with recurring revenue and higher profitability.

Your clients deal with enough complexity every day. Finding ways to minimise, manage, and mitigate that complexity will keep you top of mind as they look for control system and other AV solutions.
